Birding Liwcura river
float TOUR

Liwcura river is one of the most beautiful and crystalline water bodies of the Araucanía lacustre area, been its riverbank and waters home to a wide diversity of bird species.
In this tour, we will float down the river looking for our highlights: the charismatic Ringed Kingfisher and the elusive Spectacled Duck, offering the opportunity to photograph and observe their daily natural behaviour, in the company of stunning views of Rukapillan Volcano. There’s also the possibility of a low-difficulty walk through the riverside forest, in search of native bird species typical to this environment, such as the noisy the Thorn-tailed Rayadito or the Patagonian Sierra Finch.
